Ed Partyka Jazz Orchestra
Since 2012, I have had the privilege to be a member of the Ed Partyka Jazz Orchestra (EPJO). I met Ed in 2008 while working with the ‘Bundesjugendjazzorchester’ in Germany. Already back then, I was fascinated by his arrangements and his distinct style. I was delighted when 4 years later he asked me to join his own big band.
It is an enormous pleasure to work and perform with Ed and the band. The EPJO consists of veterans of the European music scene as well as newcomers from Berlin, Vienna, Prague and Amsterdam.
The repertoire is diverse. All compositions are arranged by Ed specifically for the orchestra. You’ll hear jazz standards and evergreens, pop influenced and modern songs as well as Ed’s compositions and some of my own.
In May 2014, the EPJO released the album “Hits! Vol.1” (Mons Records). We tour regularly in Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Germany.
